Daniel Wendelin, M.D.Diplomate, American Board of DermatologyFellow, American Academy of DermatologyDr. Wendelin was born in San Franciso, California in 1973. He lived in several areas of the country while growing up, including Los Angeles, Pittburgh, and Lexington, Kentucky. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with honors in biopsychology from Ohio State University in 1995 and remains an enthusiastic Buckeye fan. He attended medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, graduating with an M.D. in 1999. Then, he completed a one-year internship in internal medicine at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. He continued at Barnes for the three years of his dermatology residency, finishing and becoming a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology in 2003. He joined Dermatology Associates, PSC upon the completion of his residency. Dr. Wendelin is a general dermatologist, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the skin, hair and nails. He sees patients of all ages, including children. He performs cutaneous surgery on both benign and malignant lesions. He has a special interest in acne, malignant melanoma, venous stasis ulcers and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). When not practicing medicine, Dr. Wendelin enjoys cooking, gardening, reading science fiction, and web page design. He is married and has three children. |
