Dr. Schrodt was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree, with a Certificate in Medical Technology, at the University of Louisville in 1979. She worked several years as a medical technologist, primarily in microbiology, at Norton-Children's Hospital in Louisville before returning to school to pursue her medical degree.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1995. She then completed an internship in pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at Kosair-Children’s Hospital in 1996. Dr. Schrodt completed her dermatology residency at the University of Louisville, Division of Dermatology, and became a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology in 1999.

She is an Associate Clinical Professor with the Division of Dermatology at the University of Louisville and participates in the training of residents. Dr. Schrodt is a member of the Kentucky Medical Association, American Medical Association (AMA), the American Academy of Dermatology and the Society for Pediatric Dermatology.

Dr. Schrodt is a general dermatologist and sees patients of all ages, but has a special interest in pediatric dermatology, women’s dermatology, and cosmetic dermatology.
