Dr. Faurest grew up in Maysville, Kentucky. He attended the University of Kentucky for undergraduate studies and medical school. He then went on to complete a medical internship at Indiana University Medical Center. Immediately thereafter, Dr. Faurest completed a three year dermatology residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he served as Chief Resident during his third year.
Dr. Faurest served in the United States Air Force as a dermatologist from 1975 - 1977. While in the Air Force, he became certified by the American Board of Dermatology and became a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Faurest moved to Louisville, Kentucky in 1977 to begin private practice. He is married to Ann E. Lintner and they have three children.
Dr. Faurest takes pride in being a general dermatologist. He has special interests in acne, moles, cancerous and precancerous changes of the skin. He enjoys treating patients of all ages, but refers babies to his partners who are pediatric dermatologists.
Dr. Faurest is a member of the Kentucky Dermatology Society, Kentucky Medical Association, American Medical Association (AMA), and the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Faurest retired from Dermatology Associates in May of 2011.
